1888 N162 Goodwin Champions Cap Anson SGC EX 60

Graded EX 60 by SGC. An outstanding high-grade example of the key card featuring Hall of Famer Cap Anson from this very popular and colorful set of fifty, issued by Old Judge and Gypsy Queen. This striking Excellent example is beautifully centered (slightly to the top), with bright, flawless colors and perfect registration. Perfectly clean, both front and back, with very light, even wear to corners and a very small area of chipping on the reverse top edge. This is an exceptionally strong and magnificent high-grade example of one of the most classic of all nineteenth-century baseball cards. One of only four examples graded at this level (with eleven higher) out of fifty-five cards evaluated by SGC to date. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grade is $7,000. SOLD FOR $5,700
