1888 N28 Allen & Ginter Adrian Anson

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,400

Graded EX 60 by SGC. Outstanding high-grade example of Cap Anson, the key card from the N28 Allen & Ginter "World’s Champions" series. This is an exceptional card of the era's most prominent Hall of Famer from one of the nineteenth century's most popular sets. The card is bright and crisp, with rich colors and even wear to the four corners (slightly more in the lower left). Clean reverse, with light chipping along the left edge, which affects the technical grade but does not detract at all from the card's overall visual appeal. This is a very attractive example of one of the most classic of all nineteenth-century baseball cards. SOLD FOR $2,400
