1969 Topps Complete Set (664)

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $9,600

43% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 44% Ex-Mt, and 13% Ex (with a few lesser). Crisp, clean, very sharp-looking complete set of 1969 Topps, highlighted by the rookie cards of Oakland A's HOFers Reggie Jackson and Rollie Fingers, plus the last card of Mickey Mantle. This final card of "The Mick," who retired March 1, 1969, contains his complete statistical record on the reverse. Clemente, Mays, Aaron, Rose, and all the other great stars of the era are also included. This is a very sharp set consigned from an old-time collection! We have selected four cards to be graded and encapsulated by SGC. Keys: #20 Banks (95/5 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 50 Clemente (98/2 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 95 Bench (98/2 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 100 Aaron (99/1 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 120 Rose (Nr/Mt+), 130 Yastrzemski (Ex-Mt), 190 Mays (NM/MT+ 92), 200 Gibson (miscut, otherwise Ex-Mt+), 216 Sutton (Nr/Mt), 250 F. Robinson (Nr/Mt), 255 Carlton (Nr/Mt+), 260 Jackson RC (NM 84), 375 Killebrew (Nr/Mt+), 410 Kaline (Nr/Mt+), 440 McCovey (Ex-Mt), 480 Seaver (Nr/Mt), 500 Mantle (NM/MT+ 92), 510 Carew (Nr/Mt), 533 Ryan (NM+ 86), 550 B. Robinson (95/5 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt), 573 Palmer (Nr/Mt), 597 Fingers RC (Ex-Mt), and 630 Bonds RC (Nr/Mt+). Many of the lesser-graded cards within this set have a higher-grade appearance and have been downgraded solely due to minor centering problems, which are common with the 1969 Topps set. This is a beautiful high-grade set of one of the great 1960s Topps issues, loaded with Hall of Famers. The equivalent SMR value for just the four graded cards (factoring in the three half-grades at the lower whole-grade level and not including the 660 ungraded cards!) is $1,305. Total: 664 cards. SOLD FOR $9,600
