1953 Topps Five-Cent Display Box

Extremely attractive original five-cent display box from the 1953 Topps baseball series, which originally housed twenty-four nickel packs of this popular issue. Red, white, and blue box, featuring a simple design consisting of the year, "Topps Baseball Picture Cards Plus Bubble Gum," and price on five panels. Presenting as Excellent, the box displays normal shelf wear at the corners and along the edges. A small area of paper loss is present in the baseball illustration on the top panel (it blends into the white ball) along with a light crease. Very light wrinkling is present on the side panels under close inspection, and part of the right front side flap has become detached. A superb companion piece to any complete 1953 Topps set or addition to any advertising or display collection. SOLD FOR $840
