1952 Topps Uncut Panel Collection (3 Panels, 10 Cards)

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $600

1952 Topps are extremely rare to find in uncut sheets, far more so than virtually any card issue of the era. No full 100-card production sheets are known to exist, though many years ago (in the late 1970s) a small number of sheet quadrants were discovered (partial sheets featuring 25 cards each). Some of the more heavily-damaged sheets from this exciting find were cut into smaller, more presentable panels, which is likely where this small but desirable collection of three panels (featuring a total of ten cards) originates. All ten cards on these panels are fully printed on the reverse, defining these as uncut final-issue cards. This collection consists of the following: 1) Four-Card Uncut Panel: Measures 5.25 x 7.75 inches and features cards #86, 87, 96, and 97. Excellent display quality, with very light creasing in the upper left corner of #86 and a small surface dimple on #87. 2) Four-Card Uncut Panel: Measures 3.75 x 10.75 inches and features cards #91 Schoendienst (HOF), 92, 93, and 94. Overall Excellent, with light wear to the upper left corner (the other four are razor-sharp), a tiny wrinkle to #92, and an irregular cut along the left edge. 3) Two-Card Uncut Panel: Measures 5.25 x 3.75 inches and features cards #98 and 99. Overall Near Mint condition. This is a very unusual and fascinating collection of rare uncut 1952 Topps panels, which would be worthy additions to any 1952 Topps, uncut sheet, or postwar-baseball collection. Total: 3 panels featuring 10 cards. SOLD FOR $600
