1933 R319 Goudey #144 Babe Ruth

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,320

Extremely attractive example of one of Babe Ruth's most classic cards, #144 from the 1933 Goudey series featuring the Babe in his classic follow-through batting pose. The "batting" pose of Babe Ruth in the 1933 Goudey set continues to be one of his most popular and recognizable baseball cards. This is a very attractive example, bright and crisp, with even wear to the corners and virtually perfect registration. The back is entirely clean with very bold green print set against an off-white background. Encapsulated by PSA as "Authentic" due to evidence of trimming, the card otherwise presents as Vg-Ex+. This is a very attractive example of one of Babe Ruth's most classic cards from the popular 1933 Goudey Gum series, potentially representing an extraordinary collector value compared to a similarly pleasing, numerically graded example. SOLD FOR $1,320
