1914 B18 Blankets Uncut Sheet with Joe Jackson!

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,080

Uncut sheet of B18 Blankets (18 x 35 inches) highlighted by Joe Jackson and Miller Huggins and featuring eighteen different players, all scarce Cleveland and St. Louis players. The blankets on this sheet are extremely unusual in that they do not appear to have gone through the entire printing process. In essence, this is actually a color-process sheet, missing all colors except brown. This is particularly interesting for B18s as this set, of course, is well known for its numerous color variations, including different colored infields, pennants, base paths, etc. The blankets on this sheet could each be interpreted as an uncatalogued color variation, though, of course, they were never actually issued in this color scheme. This is one of only two or three B18 sheets we have ever seen (we think all were discovered together decades ago), and each of the others was also an identical partially complete color-process sheet. Joe Jackson and Miller Huggins appear in the center of the sheet and are in Mint condition. Portions of six additional blankets appear at the sides due to printing layout. Slight fraying at edges, otherwise in Near Mint condition. Dimensions: 18 x 35 inches.
