1914 E145 Cracker Jack #35 Harry Hooper SGC EX/NM 80 - Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,920

Graded EX/NM 80 by SGC. One of only four examples graded at this level by SGC with none higher! Extremely attractive high-grade example of Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer Harry Hooper from the 1914 Cracker Jack #144 series. Bright and crisp, with four strong corners and flawless color. Centered to the right, with virtually no caramel staining, especially remarkable for a #144 series card as they are almost always found with serious caramel staining. The 1914 Cracker Jacks, of course, are far rarer to find in high grade than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 #144 series cards were only issued in boxes of Cracker Jack. It is rare to find any #144 series Cracker Jack in such high grade, let alone a high-grade example of a significant Hall of Famer such as Harry Hooper. This is a tremendous 1914 Cracker Jack #35 Harry Hooper example, worthy of the finest 1914 Cracker Jack set or prewar-card collection. SOLD FOR $1,920
