1910-1912 T215 Red Cross (Type 1) Tobacco Jeff Sweeney - Highest Graded!
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $960
Graded VG 40 by SGC. Extremely rare sample card of Jeff Sweeney (New York) from the T215 Red Cross (Type 1) Tobacco set. One of only two examples graded at this level by SGC with none higher. T215 Red Cross is one of tobacco-card collecting's most overlooked issues. Very similar in design to and borrowing images from the T206 set, T215 Red Cross cards are believed to have been issued exclusively in the Louisiana area. The cards measure 1-1/2 x 2-5/8 inches, which is the standard size for tobacco issues. This is an outstanding and particularly attractive card, with vibrant colors, a crisp image, near-flawless registration, and honest, even wear to the four corners. The reverse is perfectly centered and is entirely clean, with bold crisp print, an ideal quality for a sample of this scarce issue. This is an extremely attractive sample from one of tobacco-card collecting's rarest sets. SOLD FOR $960
