1909-1911 T206 White Border Frank Chance and Vic Willis - Both SGC NM 84
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $960
Two cards from the 1909-1911 T206 White Border set featuring key Hall of Famers Frank Chance and Vic Willis, each professionally graded and encapsulated NM 84 by SGC. 1) Frank Chance/portrait, yellow background (bold colors, crisp image, centered slightly to the left, light touches to the four corners, slightly more in the upper right, clean Sweet Caporal reverse) and 2) Vic Willis/portrait (bold colors, flawless image, sharp corners, centered to the top). Both of these cards are encapsulated in first-generation SGC holders, dating to the early days of SGC, during which time the grading standards employed were not the same as they are today. It is our belief that neither of these two cards would receive the grade of NM 84 if resubmitted to SGC today; but both cards are still extremely attractive and worthy of a high grade, perhaps closer to EX or EX+. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire two extremely attractive examples of these two important Hall of Famers from the legendary T206 White Border set. Total: 2 cards. SOLD FOR $960
