1909-1911 T206 White Border Kid Elberfeld - Washington, Portrait

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,080

Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA (submitted by REA). Extremely striking and attractive example of the rare T206 Elberfeld (portrait), Washington. This card has always been recognized as one of the key rarities of the T206 White Borders tobacco-card series. The offered example is bright and crisp, with a bold red background, light, even wear to the corners, and flawless registration. An extremely faint crease, visible only on the back, along with minor wear along the right border is responsible for the assigned grade. This is a very strong card, far superior to what is normally seen for the rare T206 Elberfeld. Piedmont Cigarettes advertisement on reverse. The SMR value in the assigned grade is $900. SOLD FOR $1,080
