1909 E102 Set of 25 Sam Crawford PSA EX 5 - 1 of 1!

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $540

Graded EX 5 by PSA. This is the only example graded at this level by PSA with just three higher. Exceptional high-grade example of Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Sam Crawford from the scarce E102 caramel-card set. The manufacturer of E102 is unknown. The fronts are identical in design to their E101 counterparts and can most easily be distinguished by the attractive black-printed checklist of the 25-card complete set on the reverse of each card. Crawford is one of ten Hall of Famers in the set. Bright, crisp, and clean, with brilliant colors, centering slightly to the right, and even wear to the corners (a bit more in the lower left). Clean and boldly printed reverse. This very strong sample from the E102 series of Sam Crawford would make an outstanding addition to any Hall of Fame, "E" card, or prewar-card collection. SOLD FOR $540
