1960s Yogi Berra Yoo-Hoo Cigarette Lighter
Starting Bid - $100, Sold For - $180
Scarce 1960s Yoo-Hoo promotional lighter featuring the endorsement of Yogi Berra. The lighter features the Yoo-Hoo logo on one side, while the other displays a small illustration of Berra drinking a bottle of Yoo-Hoo. The slogan "Drink of Champions" appears above Berra's image. This is one of a series of lighters issued by the company, all of which featured endorsements by various New York Yankees players. Berra, of course, was not only the principal spokesperson for the company, but a major investor. This is the first example of this Berra Yoo-Hoo lighter that we have ever offered and we cannot recall having seen more than just a few others at auction over the past ten years. The lighter, produced by Rosen-Nesor, is in working order and displays moderate surface wear to each side. In Very Good to Excellent condition. SOLD FOR $180
