Circa 1956 Pee Wee Reese Endorsed Marble-Shooting Game

Starting Bid - $100, Sold For - $180

High-grade example of the game Pee Wee, issued by Pee Wee Enterprises, circa 1956. The game features a bust-length image of popular Brooklyn Dodgers shortstop Pee Wee Reese on the cover, and his endorsement on two side flaps, "'Play Pee Wee' says Pee Wee Reese of the Champion Brooklyn Dodgers." Though it is an outstanding baseball display piece, interestingly this game is actually not a baseball tabletop game, but a marble-shooting game, which is not so surprising since Reese received his famous moniker in childhood because he was champion marble shooter! This game has never been played with and all of the interior components remain as originally issued, including the unassembled cardboard game board, directions, and sealed bag containing marbles, pencil, and score pads. The box (19.75 x 10.25 inches) displays only light wear and is in Excellent to Mint condition. The interior components are in Near Mint condition.
