1909-1911 T206 White Border SGC-Graded Trio Including Ty Cobb

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,080

Three classic T206 cards, each a key card in the set, highlighted by an extremely attractive example of Ty Cobb (red background). Each of these cards is graded and encapsulated by SGC (submitted by REA). These cards are direct from a 1910-era original-owner card collection! 1) Ty Cobb/red background (GOOD 30). Bright and crisp, with no creases, even corner wear, and outstanding centering. Presents as VG, downgraded due to album adhesive on the Sweet Caporal reverse; 2) Frank Chance/yellow background (FAIR 20). Particularly attractive, beautifully centered, no creases, even wear to the corners, with a flawless image. Downgraded due to album adhesive and a small spot of paper loss on the Old Mill reverse; and 3) Carl Lundgren/Chicago (POOR 10). Bold colors and a crisp image, with several light creases and a few small spots of paper loss on the front. Centered to the bottom, with even wear to the corners. Features an especially tough El Principe de Gales reverse, which displays album adhesive, but is free of any paper loss. This is a very attractive trio of key T206 cards, highlighted by two important Hall of Famers, including Ty Cobb. Total: 3 cards. SOLD FOR $1,080
