1930s and 1940s Partial and Complete Nonsport Sets Collection (19 sets, 1,016 cards)

Diverse nonsport-card collection comprised of nineteen different partial and complete sets, totaling 1,016 cards, spanning the years 1932 to 1942. This is a vast and fascinating collection with many of the era's most popular and interesting issues. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1930s R13 "American G-Men" (31/48): Condition ranges from Vg to Ex (averaging Vg-Ex). 2) 1932 R114 U.S. Caramel "Presidents" (7): Buchanan, Coolidge, Hayes, Hoover, Jefferson, Pierce, and F. Roosevelt. Condition is Pr to Gd, with one Vg. 3) 1933 R109 Gum, Inc. "Pirate's Picture" (59/72): Missing #5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, 25, 29, 30, 34, 55, 59, and 62 for completion. Condition is 69% Vg (including some Vg-Ex) and 31% Pr to Gd. 4) 1933 R124 World Wide Gum "Sea Raiders" (13): #1, 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 34, and 41. All cards are bright and crisp, five have clipped corners while the balance presents as Vg to Vg-Ex but has small areas of paper loss on reverse. Four cards are bilingual. 5) 1933 R135 Package Confectionery "Beautiful Ships" (8): #3, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 21. Five Vg to Vg-Ex, three lesser. 6) 1933 R26 Goudey "Boy Scouts" (40/48): Missing #6, 16, 17, 30, 32, 35, 42, and 46 for completion. Condition is Vg to Vg-Ex, with twelve lesser, including three trimmed. 7) 1933-1934 R136 National Chicle "Sky Birds" (92/108): Missing #1, 23, 36, 48, 54, 63, 68, 70, 72, 86, 95, 98, 101, 102, 106, and 107 for completion. Condition is 30% Vg and 70% Pr to Gd. 8) 1936 R61 Pressner "Government Agents & Public Enemies" (Complete set of 24): Plus one duplicate. Condition is Vg-Ex to Ex, with one Gd and one Vg. 9) 1937 R172 Gum, Inc. "Wild West Series" (48/49): Missing only rare #25 Cowboy Outfit for completion. Also includes three variations. Condition is 50% Vg and 50% lesser (mostly Fr to Gd). 10) 1938 R1 Goudey "Action Gum" (60/96): Condition is 53% Vg to Vg-Ex and 47% Pr to Gd. 11) 1938 R19-3 Goudey "Auto License Plates" (32/66): Condition is Vg-Ex to Ex, with eight lesser (mostly Vg). 12) 1938 R55 Gumakers of America, Inc. "Frank Buck" (40/48): Missing #1, 4, 11, 25, 31, 36, 39, and 47 for completion. Condition is Vg to Vg-Ex, with seven lesser. 13) 1938-1940 T87 Wings Cigarettes "Modern American Airplanes" (Complete set of 150): Condition ranges from Vg-Ex to Ex-Mt (averaging Ex). 14) 1939 R165 Gum, Inc. "War News Pictures" (114/144): Condition is Pr to Gd, with some Vg. 15) 1939 R173 Gum, Inc. "World in Arms" (Complete set of 48): Condition is Vg-Ex to Ex, with seven lesser. 16) 1941 R157 Gum, Inc. "Uncle Sam" (Complete set of 96): Plus one duplicate. Condition is 60% Vg-Ex to Ex and 40% Vg (including some Fr to Gd). 17) 1941 R158 Gum, Inc. "Uncle Sam's Home Defense" (Complete low-number set of 24): Condition is Vg to Vg-Ex. 18) 1941-1942 R164 Gum, Inc. "War Gum" (80/132): Condition is 48% Vg-Ex to Ex and 52% Vg (including some Pr to Gd). 19) 1942 R12 W.S. Corp. "America at War" (43/48): Missing #508, 528, 529, 532, and 539 for completion. Condition is Vg-Ex to Ex, including a few that are slightly small. Also included are two 1914 Fatima Cigarettes cards of Baker (sprinter) and Connor (actress), both in Pr condition. This is a great nonsport-card collecting opportunity as these sets and partial sets would no doubt cost a lot more to duplicate than whatever they will sell for here, not to mention the time and effort that would be expended.
