1889 N8 Allen & Ginter "Fish from American Waters" PSA NM 7 & NM-MT 8 Collection (8) - All Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,200

Extraordinary ultra high-grade collection of eight different 1889 Allen & Ginter "Fish from American Waters" cards, each graded and encapsulated by PSA. All eight cards rank as the highest graded according to the PSA Population Report, and two of the cards (noted below) are the only examples ever graded at their respective level. All eight of these colorful tobacco cards are bright and crisp and have managed to avoid common flaws that tend to plague nineteenth-century cards and often cause them to grade very modestly, including paper loss, glue residue, and writing on the reverse. In the following condition composite, cards are identified by the numbers provided by the American Tobacco Cards Price Guide checklist. PSA Condition Composite: One NM-MT 8: #27 (1 of 1). Seven NM 7: #6, 7, 9, 15 (1 of 1), 19, 29, and 36. This is a rarely offered, exceptionally attractive, and unparalled ultra high-grade collection of cards from this classic nineteenth-century nonsport tobacco-card set, which would be worthy additions to any nonsport-card collection. Total: 8 cards. SOLD FOR $1,200
