1888 N15 Allen & Ginter "Great Generals" & 1889 N222 Kinney Bros. "Leaders" PSA-Graded Collection (4)

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $540

Collection of four different cards from two classic nineteenth-century nonsport sets, each graded and encapsulated EX-MT 6 by PSA. All four of these colorful tobacco cards are bright and crisp and have managed to avoid common flaws that tend to plague nineteenth-century cards and often cause them to grade very modestly, including paper loss, glue residue, and writing on the reverse. 1-3) 1888 N15 Allen & Ginter "Great Generals": Boulanger (1 of 2, none higher), Frederick the Great (1 of 2, one higher), and McClellan (1 of 1, none higher). 4) 1889 N222 Kinney Bros. "Leaders": Napoleon. This is a rarely offered, exceptionally attractive, ultra high-grade quartet of cards from two classic nineteenth-century nonsport tobacco-card sets, which would be worthy additions to any nonsport-card collection. Total: 4 cards. SOLD FOR $540
