1940 The Three Stooges No Census No Feeling Lobby Card
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,040
Lobby card from the Three Stooges 1940 short No Census No Feeling. This card is noteworthy for the fact that the studio art department mistakenly labeled Moe as "Larry" and Larry as "Moe" in the white name cards appearing on their respective images along the base. In the film, which was the group's fiftieth for Columbia, the boys are census takers, which, inexplicably, leads to their taking part in a football game. The card (14 x 11 inches) displays general overall wear, including a tack hole in both the upper left and right corners, three small edge tears (two along the left border and one along the top of the right border), a few light creases, and a small repaired corner chip in the lower right. The reverse displays a small piece of white tape in repair of the right-border tear, and various ink and pencil notations. In Very Good condition overall.
