1934 Barney Oldfield Signed Real-Photo Postcard

Real-photo postcard signed by Barney Oldfield (1878-1946), America's first great automobile racer and the first man to drive an automobile a mile a minute. The postcard, which was issued as a souvenir by Chrysler Motors at the 1934 World's Fair in Chicago, features a photo of Oldfield posing alongside the company's newest Plymouth model, below which is his printed endorsement of the car. Oldfield has signed the postcard in green ink (grading "7") on the front along the bottom border. The postcard (3.25 x 5.5 inches) displays light corner wear and has not been addressed on the reverse. In Excellent condition overall. LOA from James Spence/JSA. SOLD FOR $180
