Original Acme Newspictures photograph capturing Lou Gehrig as he takes part in the final All-Star Game of his career, in 1939 at Yankee Stadium. Encapsulated and certified as a Type 1 Original News Service Photograph by PSA/DNA. Gehrig is pictured at home plate as he goes over the ground rules with National League manager Gabby Hartnett, coach Bill Terry, and the umpiring crew. An Acme Newspictures, Inc., stamp appears on the reverse, as does a later United Press International Newspictures stamp. A portion of the original paper news caption is affixed to the reverse with clear tape. The photo (9 x 7 inches) has a tiny chip in the lower right corner and a few light border creases.
