Dating from Hank Aaron’s rookie season, this official National League (Giles) ball features the blue-ink signatures of twenty-nine members of the 1954 Milwaukee Braves. Hank Aaron's signature appears on the sweet spot along with those of manager Charlie Grimm and coach John Cooney. The remaining signatures on the ball are those of Spahn (clubhouse signature), Mathews, Buhl, O'Connell, Bruton, Nichols, Metkovich, Burdette, Paine, Logan, Pafko, Dittmer, Calderone, Keely (coach), Smalley, White (different shade of blue ink), Gorin, Pendleton, Adcock, Crandall, Jay, Queen, Johnson, Jolly, Burris, and Wilson. Signatures range in grade from "8" to "10," averaging "9." All of the manufacturer's stampings are bold and legible. Near Mint condition. LOA from James Spence/JSA.Reserve $300. Estimate $1,000+.
