1956 Topps #30 Jackie Robinson PSA MINT 9

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $8,295

Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Extraordinary ultra high-grade example of one of the key cards from the 1956 Topps set, featuring Jackie Robinson on his final card issued as a player during his playing days. This is one of the 1950s gum-card collecting's great classics. The offered example has a perfectly crisp image, with flawless registration, four razor-sharp corners, and virtually perfect centering. The portrait of Jackie in the foreground practically jumps off the card. The white back is boldly printed, perfectly centered, and entirely clean. Out of an astounding 3,461 examples of this card graded by PSA to date, only eighteen have been graded MINT 9 with none higher. This is a stunning pack-fresh, crisp, ultra high-grade example of one of Robinson’s most classic cards, worthy of the finest collection. The SMR value for the assigned grade is $3,200. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$3,000. SOLD FOR $8,295
