1952 Bowman Uncut Sheet Including Willie Mays

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $11,258

1952 Bowman baseball uncut sheet with thirty-six different final series cards, including Willie Mays. This is a complete final production sheet with fully printed backs. Cards #217 through 252 appear on this sheet, including #217 Casey Stengel, 218 Willie Mays, 232 Enos Slaughter, and 252 Frank Crosetti. The front of the sheet has an Excellent appearance, with a just a few minor faults upon very close inspection (as is usually the case with sheets); approximately two-thirds of the cards, including the key card #218 Willie Mays, are in Nr/Mt condition when viewed from the front. The remaining one-third (upon close inspection only) display light wrinkles or creases, and in the case of the four corner cards, a hint of light corner wear. On the reverse of the sheet are a couple of very small areas of paper loss from tape removal on the cards located in center of the top and bottom row (related to previous framing). A few very minor creases are primarily noticeable from the reverse (no creases in Mays). This is a beautiful sheet with perfect colors and tremendous display value. Ideal for framing (as it has been in the past), on the wall this sheet has a strong overall Excellent appearance. This is a very sharp-looking 1952 Bowman baseball uncut sheet highlighted by one of the key Hall of Famers in the set. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $11,258
