1954 Dan-Dee Early Wynn PSA MINT 9 - 1 of 1 - Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $1,659

Graded MINT 9 by PSA. This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher. Miraculous high-grade example of Cleveland Indians Hall of Famer Early Wynn from the 1954 Dan-Dee Potato Chips set. Out of 2,662 Dan-Dee Potato Chip cards (of all players) graded to date by PSA, only 47 have graded MINT 9 and only only one GEM MINT 10. Dan-Dee cards were issued one card per package with Dan-Dee Potato Chips. They are notoriously difficult to find in high grade since they usually exhibit serious condition problems relating to their method of issue, including creases and potato-chip grease stains. This is a simply stunning ultra high-grade card. Flawlessly clean both front and back, with extremely bold colors, near-perfect centering, and an undisturbed, clean, even wax coating. This is a tremendous MINT example from this condition-sensitive food issue which would immediately upgrade any Dan-Dee set in existence. Reserve $400. Estimate $800+. SOLD FOR $1,659
