1914 E145 Cracker Jack #19 Chief Bender

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $711

Graded VG/EX 50 by SGC. Very attractive example of Hall of Famer Chief Bender from the 1914 Cracker Jack #144 series. Extremely well centered example with light, even corner wear. This card is bright and clean with a bold red background, no visible caramel staining on the front and only a few very light spots on the back as is almost always the case with #144 series cards. The 1914 Cracker Jacks, of course, are far rarer to find in high grade than their 1915 counterparts, because the 1914 #144 series cards were only issued in boxes of Cracker Jack. It is rare to find any #144 series Cracker Jack in high grade, let alone such a clean and attractive example of Hall of Famer Chief Bender. Reserve $200. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $711
