1909-1911 T206 White Border Piedmont "Factory 42" Pair (2)

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,541

Presented is a pair of cards from the T206 series, each featuring the desirable Piedmont "Factory 42" designation on the reverse. This pair consists of Cy Seymour/throwing and Hooks Wiltse/port. with cap. These two cards were found by REA in an old-time collection of T206s (the balance of which is presented elsewhere in this auction) and have been separated here to be offered as their own lot due to the rarity of the Piedmont "Factory 42" backs. Both cards display bright colors and crisp, flawless images but would technically grade Good due to small areas of paper loss on the reverse (and two light corner creases on the Seymour). The important backs are otherwise mostly clean with bold blue text on each card and only two small stains on the Wiltse reverse. This is a very attractive pair of cards featuring this very scarce T206 advertising back, ranked as the twelfth most difficult (out of thirty-nine) within the set by Total: 2 cards.Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $1,541
