For more information about the assembly and the condition of the PSA-graded complete 1933 Goudey set that is consigned to this auction (of which this is a part) and which has been broken down into 110 smaller lots, please visit this link which provides the introduction to the set that appears in the printed catalog:

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Of the 427 1933 Goudey #211 Hack Wilson cards graded to date by PSA, only thirty-one have been graded at this level with only six grading higher. Flawless colors, a very bold image, and near-perfect registration. Well centered and perfectly clean both front and back, with a slight rough cut along the top border visible from the reverse. In 1930, his finest season, Hack Wilson set two legendary marks. His 56 home runs were a National League record that stood until 1998, when Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa both shattered it. Nevertheless, his single-season record of 191 RBI still stands from that year. Though contenders for the record have come close, no player has gotten within 25 RBI of the mark since 1938. This is a very attractive, extremely high-grade PSA example of one of Hack Wilson's most desirable cards and one that that would be a significant addition to virtually any 1933 Goudey PSA Registry set or Hall of Fame collection. SMR is $1,600. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $1,422.00
