For more information about the assembly and the condition of the PSA-graded complete 1933 Goudey set that is consigned to this auction (of which this is a part) and which has been broken down into 110 smaller lots, please visit this link which provides the introduction to the set that appears in the printed catalog:

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Exceptional high-grade PSA example of legendary Chicago White Sox Hall of Famer Ted Lyons. Out of 319 examples graded to date, only four have ever graded higher. The image of Lyons in his pitching windup displays with perfect registration against the bold purple background. Near-perfect centering, and a clean reverse with bold green printing. Two tiny edge abrasions, on the top and left borders, are present but not distracting. A rarely seen PSA NM-MT 8 example of this Hall of Famer from the classic 1933 Goudey set. SMR is $2,200. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500+. SOLD FOR $1,659.00
