1955 Bowman #202 Mickey Mantle SGC NM/MT+ 92

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $2,370.00

Graded NM/MT+ 92 by SGC. One of the finest examples in the world of one of collecting's most classic cards, the 1955 Bowman #202 Mickey Mantle. Of the 364 submissions to date, only four 1955 Bowman Mickey Mantle examples have ever been graded NM/MT+ 92 by SGC and only one has ever been graded higher, at MINT 96 by SGC. The 1955 Bowman set is particularly prone to corner and edge chipping, making extremely high grade examples rare. This is a pack-fresh gem with flawless colors, perfect gloss, and four razor-sharp corners. The image is bright, crisp, and absolutely flawless. The card is perfectly clean, front and back. The centering is virtually perfect (55/45 L/R). The reverse also has virtually perfect centering. A significant addition to even the most advanced high-grade Mantle, 1955 Bowman, or classic postwar gum-card collection, this is an extraordinary example in all respects of one of Mickey Mantle's most popular cards. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grade is $3,000. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $2,370.00
