1954 Topps Complete Set (250)

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $2,251.50

22% Ex (with a few better), 41% Vg-Ex, 23% Vg, and 14% lesser. The 1954 Topps set is highlighted by the rookie cards of Hall of Famers Hank Aaron, Ernie Banks, and Al Kaline, and is universally recognized as one of the most popular and classic of all 1950s baseball-card sets. Three cards are graded by PSA. Keys: #1 Williams (Vg-Ex), 10 Robinson (Vg-Ex), 13 Martin (Vg-Ex), 17 Rizzuto (Vg+), 20 Spahn (Vg-Ex+), 30 Mathews (Ex+), 32 Snider (Vg-Ex+), 36 Wilhelm (Ex+), 37 Ford (Ex), 45 Ashburn (Vg), 50 Berra (Vg-Ex), 90 Mays (Vg/Vg-Ex), 94 Banks RC (VG-EX 4 MC), 102 Hodges (Vg-Ex), 128 Aaron RC (Gd/Vg), 132 Lasorda RC (Vg-Ex), 201 Kaline RC (VG-EX 4), 239 Skowron RC (Vg-Ex), and 250 Williams (Vg-Ex). The third PSA-graded card is #209 (GOOD 2). In a world where a single GEM MINT common card from this set can sell for thousands of dollars, it's hard not to appreciate the value of this set. Extremely attractive vintage sets such as this that are in mid-grade are especially desirable, representing an exceptional collecting value. This is a beautiful yet still relatively affordable set of this classic early Topps issue, loaded with Hall of Famers and stars from the 1950s. Total: 250 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $2,251.50
