1954 Bowman Complete Set (224)

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $2,133.00

30% Ex-Mt, 46% Ex, and 24% Vg-Ex with some lesser. 1954 Bowman baseball is one of the most outstanding values among all early 1950s sets. This is a gorgeous mid-grade set (no #66 Williams) needing just a few upgrades. This is a beautiful set that, at a glance, clearly looks even stronger than suggested by its very respectable technical grades. We have selected three cards to be graded by SGC. Keys: #1 Rizzuto (Vg-Ex), 6 Fox (Vg-Ex+), 15 Ashburn (Vg-Ex+), 45 Kiner (Ex), 50 Kell (Vg-Ex+), 57 Wilhelm (Ex-Mt), 58 Reese (Ex+), 62 Slaughter (Ex+), 64 Mathews (Vg), 65 Mantle (EX/NM+ 82), 66 Piersall (Vg-Ex), 89 Mays (EX/NM 80), 90 Campanella (Ex), 95 Roberts (Ex), 110 Schoendienst (Gd/Vg), 132 Feller (EX/NM+ 82), 138 Hodges (Vg-Ex), 145 Martin (Vg-Ex), 161 Berra (Ex+), 164 Wynn (Ex-Mt), 170 Snider (Vg-Ex), 177 Ford (Ex), and 196 Lemon (Ex). Crisp, clean, and extremely attractive complete set. The equivalent SMR value for just the three graded cards (factoring the two half-grades in at the lower whole grade level) is $935. Total: 224 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $2,133.00
