1952 Bowman Uncut Sheet Including #196 Stan Musial

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $2,962.50

1952 Bowman baseball uncut sheet with thirty-six different cards, including Stan Musial. This is a final production sheet with fully printed backs. Cards #181-216 appear on this sheet. This is a complete production sheet as 1952 Bowmans were printed in 36-card uncut sheets, nine cards across and four down. The front of the sheet has an Excellent appearance, with a few minor faults upon very close inspection; 80% of the cards, including the key card #196 Stan Musial, are in Nr/Mt condition when viewed from the front. As is common with uncut sheets, the corner cards absorbed most of the condition issues, including a light fraying of the stock in the upper left corner. On the reverse of the sheet are tiny remnants of tape removal on the top two corner cards, possibly related to the sheet being mounted onto matting long ago. A few very minor creases are primarily noticeable from the reverse. Despite the minor imperfections, this sheet has a tremendous display value and an overall Excellent appearance. This is a rare, original Bowman baseball uncut sheet highlighted by one of the key Hall of Famers in the set. It is also a rarely offered, relatively affordable, yet still ideal for display, alternative to a problem-free sheet. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000++. SOLD FOR $2,962.50
