1933 R319 Goudey #160 Lou Gehrig

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $1,540.50

Graded VG+ 45 by SGC. Extremely attractive example of one of the most popular of all Lou Gehrig cards, and one of the most classic of all 1930s bubble-gum cards. The card is bright and clean, with strong colors, light even corner rounding, and centered slightly to the right. There is a light wrinkle extending from the bill of his cap to the top border. The reverse of the card is also clean, with bold green text. This is an impressive and very fairly graded Vg+ example, relatively affordable yet sharing almost all of the qualities of a higher-graded example. Equivalent SMR value in VG is $900 and $1,325 in VG-EX. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,540.50
