1921 Zeenut PCL Partial Set (133/169) Including Crawford and O'Doul

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $4,147.50

Partial set of 133 of the 169 different 1921 Zeenut cards featuring Pacific Coast League players, highlighted by Hall of Famer Sam Crawford and Lefty O'Doul. The 1921 Zeenut set is comprised of players from eight different teams (Los Angeles, Oakland, Portland, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle, and Vernon). A large grouping such as this is very rarely seen. We have selected three cards to be graded by SGC. Keys: Sam Crawford (POOR 10) and O'Doul (POOR 10). A common, Thomas, has also been encapsulated POOR 10. All the cards in this collection have a pinhole in the top center of the card and would technically grade Poor despite presenting Gd to Vg-Ex with some lesser. As is usually the case with Zeenuts, the coupon at the bottom of each card has been clipped away, as intended, to be redeemed for valuable prizes. Missing thirty-six cards for completion: Adams, Alton, Bates, Blossom, Brown, Compton, Daley, Ellison, Francis, Gardner, Geary, Hale, Jones, Kifer, Kopp, Lane, Lewis, Love, Ludolph, Middleton, Morse, Murphy/Seattle, Oldring, Orr, Pick, Rose/Sacramento, Ross/Sacramento, Ryan, Schick, Sheehan, Shore, Shorr, Siglin, Spencer, Stumph, and Yelle. This partial set is part of a large original-owner Zeenut collection, consigned to this auction by the family of the gentleman who collected these cards as a child, which we have broken down into smaller lots by year. Total: 133 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $4,147.50
