1914 E145 Cracker Jack HOFers: #18 Johnny Evers and #23 Charles Comiskey (2)

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,422.00

Pair of 1914 E145 Cracker Jack cards featuring Hall of Famers Johnny Evers and Charles Comiskey, each graded and encapsulated by SGC. The 1914 #144 series Cracker Jacks are far rarer than their 1915 counterparts because the 1914 cards were not available by mail and could only be obtained one card per package in boxes of Cracker Jacks. Because of their method of issue, 1914 Cracker Jacks are also almost always found with various condition problems, including caramel staining. 1) #18 Johnny Evers (SGC VG/EX 50). Perfectly clean front and back, with flawless colors, and even wear on all four corners. No creases. 2) #23 Charles Comiskey (SGC VG/EX 50). Centered very slightly to the lower right with bold, crisp colors and even wear to the corners. Minimal caramel staining present on the front with only slightly more advanced staining on the back. This is a very pleasing duo of high-quality 1914 Cracker Jack Hall of Famers. The equivalent SMR value for the two cards is $1,400. Total: 2 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $1,422.00
