1914 E145 Cracker Jack #73 Max Carey

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $1,185.00

Graded VG/EX 50 by SGC. Extremely attractive 1914 E145 Cracker Jack card featuring Hall of Famer Max Carey. The 1914 #144 series Cracker Jacks are far rarer than their 1915 counterparts because the 1914 cards were not available by mail and could only be obtained one card per package in boxes of Cracker Jacks. Because of their method of issue, 1914 Cracker Jacks are also almost always found with various condition problems, including caramel staining. Perfectly clean front and back, with flawless colors, and very little wear to the square corners. There is absolutely no caramel staining, which is almost always found on #144 series cards. A very light surface wrinkle (barely noticeable) on the lower left border is solely responsible for this card not receiving a higher grade from SGC. EX-MT appearance! This is a very pleasing high-quality 1914 Cracker Jack Hall of Famer. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $1,185.00
