1915 E145 Cracker Jack #161 Edward Rousch (Roush) SGC NM 84

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $948.00

Graded NM 84 by SGC. Outstanding high-grade 1915 Cracker Jack example of Hall of Famer Edd Roush (whose name is misspelled as "Rousch" on this card). While Cracker Jacks were issued one card per box, in 1915 the entire set of 176 cards could also be ordered by mail in exchange for 100 coupons, or 1 coupon plus 25 cents, and this card is obviously from a "factory set." This is a stunning example of #161 Rousch, perfectly clean front and back, no stains, perfect centering, and a particularly deep red background. All four corners are particularly strong, displaying only tiny traces of wear under close inspection that keep this card from grading higher. The reverse of the card is perfectly bright and clean, with crisp, bold black text. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grade is $850. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $948.00
