1909-1911 T206 White Border PSA VG-EX 4 Letters A-L Collection (77)

Starting Bid - $1,500.00, Sold For - $6,517.50

Collection of seventy-six different (plus one duplicate) T206 White Border tobacco cards, each encapsulated and graded VG-EX 4 (except two VG-EX+ 4.5) and highlighted by the presence of five Hall of Famers. All cards are PSA graded and have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs unless otherwise noted. This is part of a larger collection of T206 cards which we have broken down into several smaller lots by condition. Naturally, this is an extraordinarily consistent collection in terms of condition, and represents an exceptional opportunity to acquire a very substantial group of seventy-six different classic T206 cards in an extremely desirable and consistent grade. All of these cards feature players with last names beginning with "A" through "L." The collection consists of the following: Abbott (SGC VG/EX 50), Alperman, Ames/portrait (Old Mill), Anderson (Polar Bear), Armbruster, Ball/Cleveland (SGC VG/EX 50), S. Barry, Batch, Bates, Beck, Bell/follow through, Bergen/catching, Birmingham, Bliss, Bradley/with bat (MK), Brain, Bransfield, Brashear, Bresnahan/portrait (HOF, VG-EX+ 4.5), Brown/portrait (HOF), Burch/fielding, Burke (Old Mill), Burns, Bush, Butler, Byrne, Camnitz/arms folded, Carr (SGC VG/EX 50), Cassidy, Chance/batting (HOF), Charles, Clark (2, one SGC VG/EX 50), Clarke/portrait (HOF, SGC VG/EX 50), Clymer, Cree, Criger (MK), Criss, Cross, H. Bright and crisp extremely attractive collection, all in uniform grade, from the most popular and classic set of the era. This is a very substantial group, and a tremendous start to a T206 set or the upgrading of a set already in progress. The equivalent total SMR value for the assigned grades (factoring the two half-grades, one of which is a HOFer, at the VG-EX level and not including the four qualified cards) is $6,455. Total: 77 cards. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000/$5,000+. SOLD FOR $6,517.50
