1909-1911 T206 White Border Collection (133 Different)

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $2,014.50

Collection of 133 different T206 White Borders (all commons) with approximately 75% technically grading "Authentic" (due to evidence of trimming or recoloration) and the balance ranging in grade from Pr to Fr condition. This is a neat group of relatively affordable cards from "the olden days," a little rough but still very collectable, and ideal for the collector who does not want to spend a fortune, but wants real, original circa 1910 tobacco cards which capture the spirit of the history of the game and collecting. The cards in this lot represent a remarkable one-quarter of a complete set of 1909-1911 T206 White Borders! We enjoy offering low-grade groups like these because they make the collecting of the most classic baseball-card issues possible and more accessible to a wider audience. Backs are all Piedmont and Sweet Caporal. Total: 133 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800+. SOLD FOR $2,014.50
