1933 R319 Goudey #149 Babe Ruth PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $10,000.00, Sold For - $35,550.00

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Beautiful and stunning ultra high-grade example of one of Babe Ruth’s most classic cards, #149 Ruth with red background from the 1933 Goudey series. Only two copies are graded higher (both NM-MT+ 8.5) out of over 700 examples graded to date by PSA. This is an exceptional high-grade NM-MT example. Perfect registration. Flawless colors. Strong corners with only the slightest traces of wear visible. Perfectly bright and clean, both front and back, and centered very slightly to the right. Small red print spots are visible in the top border, an occurrence that is almost universal to the #149 Ruth card and mentioned only for the sake of accuracy. The green text on the reverse is boldly printed. This is an outstanding world-class example of one Babe Ruth's most important and highly prized baseball cards. The SMR value for the assigned grade is $29,000. Reserve $10,000. Estimate $20,000+. SOLD FOR $35,550.00
