Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $829.50

Poster heralding the "Supersonic Attractions of 1959" at the Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on June 10, 1959. Headlining the event was Sam Cooke, the father of soul, whose portrait image appears next to his name. Also appearing on the card, many of whom are also pictured, were Jackie Wilson, Marv Johnson, Hank Ballard and the Midnighters, Jessie Belvin, Sil Austin and his Big Band, Baby Washington, Cliff Driver and his Organ Combo, Johnny Watson, The Pips, The Spence Twins, The Falcons, and The Delloes. This is one of two similarly designed posters (the other is slightly larger) we have seen from this concert, both of which are rare. The poster (22 x 28 inches), printed on cardboard stock, displays a four-inch corner chip in the upper left, a few small edge tears, and minor soiling along the border areas. In Very Good to Excellent condition. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $829.50
