1973 Topps Football Unopened Wax Box (24 packs)

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $3,851.25

Complete original unopened wax box of 1973 Topps football. A complete wax box of 1973 Topps houses twenty-four packs with each pack containing ten cards, for a total of 240 cards. The 1973 Topps football set includes the rookie cards of Hall of Famers Harris, Ham, Shell, Dierdorf, and Youngblood, and many other Hall of Famers, including Bradshaw, Tarkenton, Namath, Unitas, and Staubach. All the other stars of the day are also included. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, it is entirely possible that this box includes MINT and GEM MINT examples of these stars as well as the other cards in the set. This box comes shrink-wrapped so that the packs inside cannot be viewed, but our consignor purchased virtually all of his material from Steve Hart of Baseball Card Exchange, the foremost expert on unopened material, so this box may have originated from him as well. The box displays beautifully, almost exactly as it did on the store shelves forty years ago, with only minor shelf wear visible. Exceptional complete unopened wax box of 1973 Topps football. Total: 24 packs. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500+. SOLD FOR $3,851.25
