1907 PC805 Novelty Cutlery Roger Bresnahan

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $711.00

Graded VG/EX 50 by SGC. Extremely striking example of Hall of Famer Roger Bresnahan in his catching gear from the highly prized 1907 PC805 Novelty Cutlery postcard set. The PC805 series is universally recognized as one of the most desirable of all baseball postcard issues. These cards have always been appreciated by collectors both for their extreme rarity and distinctive style. This very attractive mid-grade example of Roger Bresnahan is one of only fifteen Hall of Famers in the Novelty Cutlery set. The card has a couple small, light creases (visible only on the reverse) and even corner wear. It is very crisp and clean. Never mailed. No writing on the postcard reverse. This card has an appearance far superior to its SGC-assigned grade. This is a very impressive-looking Hall of Famer example from this rare and elegantly designed set. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $711.00
