1909 Hurray For Our Base Ball Team Sheet Music

Starting Bid - $100.00, Sold For - $177.75

While we have no opinion of the song itself, there is no disputing the fact that the sheet music for the 1909 musical composition Hurray For Our Base Ball Team features one of the most attractive and ideal-for-display covers of the era. The design features an illustration of a large pennant, within which are portrait images of each Major-League manager, as well as the respective league presidents, Ban Johnson and Harry Pulliam. Pictured below the pennant is a game-in-progress scene from Chicago's West Side Park. Include in the roll call of managers are Nap Lajoie, Connie Mack, Hughie Jennings, Frank Chance, Roger Bresnahan, John McGraw, Clark Griffith, and Fred Clark. Composed by Fred C. Roegge and Berte C. Randall. Published by Charles I. Davis, Cleveland, Ohio. The sheet music (10.5 x 11.5 inches) displays light wear along the edges, including a miniscule corner chip in the upper right, and is in Excellent condition overall. Reserve $100. Estimate $300+.
