1955 New York Yankees Team-Signed Ball - PSA/DNA MINT 9

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $3,258.75

Extraordinary high-grade 1955 New York Yankees team-signed ball (with no clubhouse signatures), graded MINT 9 by PSA/DNA. The company has graded the autographs "9" and the ball "8," resulting in an overall grade of "9" (the company has the discretion to round up or down in such a case; in this case it felt the eye-appeal of the ball warranted the decision to round up). The Worth "Official Little League" ball has been signed in blue ink by the following twenty-four players: Mantle, Berra (sweet spot), Rizzuto (sweet spot), Ford, Howard, Turley, Morgan, Silvera, Martin, R. Coleman, Wiesler, Collins, J. Coleman, Kucks, Carey, Konstanty, McDougald, Carroll, Byrne, Leja, Noren, Robinson, Grim, and Bauer. Team balls meriting a grade of MINT 9 are few and far between, especially New York Yankees balls dating from the club's 1950 World Championship dynasty. This is certainly the finest 1955 New York Yankees ball we have ever seen, let alone handled, and one that would be a significant highlight in any team-signed ball collection. Full LOA from PSA/DNA and LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $500. Estimate $2,000+. SOLD FOR $3,258.75
