1933 R319 Goudey #92 Lou Gehrig - PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $2,500, Sold For - $14,220

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Extremely high grade example of one of the most popular of all Lou Gehrig cards, and one of the most classic of all 1930s bubble-gum cards. Of the 941 1933 Goudey #92 Lou Gehrig cards graded to date in the entire history of PSA (which is now twenty years of grading!), only six examples have ever graded higher! (Five PSA MINT 9 and one PSA GEM MINT 10.) Flawless colors. Bright, crisp, and clean, both front and back. Centered slightly to the right (approximately 70/30). The corners show only the slightest hint of light wear under magnification but are still sharp. Bold green text on reverse. Universally recognized as one of card collecting's all-time classics. This is a magnificent example - and one of the highest PSA-graded examples in the world - of one Lou Gehrig's most important and highly prized baseball cards. SMR value of the assigned grade is $10,250. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000++. SOLD FOR $14,220
