1933 R300 George C. Miller PSA-Graded Collection (22 Different)

Starting Bid - $2,500, Sold For - $7,703

Outstanding collection of twenty-two cards (out of just 32 in the set) from the R300 George C. Miller & Company set, one of the most unusual and rare issues of the 1930s, and one of the most artistically unique sets of any era. The collection is highlighted by eleven Hall of Famers, including Jimmy Foxx. This is an incredibly substantial group of R300. Cards from this set usually have to be collected one at a time due to their extreme rarity. Large groups are almost never seen. This near-complete set represents a very significant opportunity for collectors interested in completing this elusive issue, which has been an almost impossible feat for so many serious collectors in the past. Only a few complete sets of R300 have ever been assembled. The twenty-two cards represent exactly two-thirds of the set. All twenty-two cards have been graded by PSA: Three VG-EX 4: Dykes, Melillo, O’Doul. Eleven VG 3: Alexander, Bartell, Ferrell, Foxx (HOF), Frisch (HOF), Grimm, Grove (HOF), Maranville (HOF), Reynolds, Simmons (HOF), Warneke. Six GOOD 2: Averill (HOF), Berger, Dickey (HOF), Gehringer (HOF), Goslin (HOF), P. Waner (HOF). Two PR-FR 1: Cronin (HOF) and Stripp. This is a tremendous collection of cards from one of the rarest and most artistically stunning sets ever issued. Total: 22 cards. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000+. SOLD FOR $7,703
