1887 N172 Old Judge Billy Nash Tagging "Old Hoss" Radbourn - SGC NM 84

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,304

Graded NM 84 by SGC. Only one example graded higher by SGC. Very sharp high-grade double-player pose N172 example featuring star third baseman Billy Nash tagging out "Old Hoss" Radbourn. Unusual Old Judge "advertisement in box" style with script player-identification design, from the "0" series ("0134"). Radbourn is not identified by name; only Nash is identified by name on this card. There are only twenty-two different double-player poses in the Old Judge set. This is one of the most desirable of the popular double-player pose cards, and one of the few to include a Hall of Famer. Sharp corners with just the slightest touch of wear. Outstanding contrast. Extremely clean front and back. Only a small spot on the right border keeps this gem from a higher grade. Near Mint condition. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,304
