1911 T217 Mono Cigarettes SGC-Graded Collection (3)

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,422

Collection of three different 1911 T217 Mono Cigarettes cards, each graded and encapsulated by SGC (all submitted by REA). The twenty-five-card T217 Mono Cigarettes set is one of the rarest of all Pacific Coast League issues and also one of the rarest of all 1910-era tobacco-card issues. Even a sample card from the T217 Mono set can be very difficult to find. The collection consists of the following: Aiken (SGC EX 60, sharp-looking card!), Bernard (SGC Authentic, missing a piece in the lower right and several creases), and Howard (SGC FAIR 20, heavy horizontal crease across the card). These cards are new to the modern collecting world. They are from a recently discovered 1910-era original-owner card collection. A very attractive trio of rare T217s, ideal for the serious PCL or sample-card collector. Total: 3 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500++. SOLD FOR $1,422
